I've started preparing for my next Pulp Alley adventure and decided to build some Adobe buildings because
1. they're extremely easy (and fast) to make
2. they're useful in lots of eras/regions (if you're not too picky about getting every little detail right). I think I can easily use them in old west/mexican setting

Construction wise, Ive followed the standard foamcare/filler method. The buildin pictured is a bit more complex, the other two I've built (but not painted) are the more basic boxes.

Nice work! Are the interiors usable as playing areas?

No, the interior is unfinished and the roof doesn't lift off.
-
Very nice! You texture looks great and I like those stairs. :-*

That's great. We don't do interiors either. ;)
HAVE FUN

I was "inspired" by your Adobe building, not to say I just copied the design. Texture is wood filler, another idea I stole got from you.

Looks great! How did you paint the weathered white color?
-
I find building them gets quite addictive. Nice work on this one.
-
I like the layout. A nice idea, having different roof levels.

The wood filler itself is yellowish light brown when dry. After that I drybrush in two steps
First with a linen color, next with an ivory. I use interior paint for this, I have bought some testers in differrent colors, most major brands have them over here.
My attempt at weathering was with Mig Powders.

This place LAF, this den of thieves, is such that whilst you are stealing from another, some others are stealing from you. And none the guilty for it ;)

There's not much to it really. I've had a half-finished building and I snappe dome pics. No actual construction but it's just a foamcore box with some wood dowels.
Here's the textured, unpainted building.

I should be able to do something like that, alright... I have the materials, now I just need a fre afternoon...
Did you use 5 or 10 mm foam board?

This is 6 mm board, but 5 mm should work just as well.

OK, thanks - I have 5 mm, and I'll give it a go... soonish....

So far I've finished seven buildings total - a smallish town. A couple more and I could fill a entire table.

Looks like a great set-up like that :-*
It's taken me ages to finish my abode church/chapel… :?

Very nice work. I especially like the design of the large, multi level building.

Excellent work, G! You're getting quite a collection. :-*

Looks like you have a great town there.
