Title: The World's oldest machinegun.
Post by: carlos marighela on 03 April 2014, 11:29:14 AM
Well probably not but the Madsen keeps on keeping on with PMERJ, on this occasion with the Batalhão de Choque.

Cropped up again just this week during the police operations in and around  Maré. And to think I was sunning myself but a scant few hundred meters from there in February. Who knew all these bad men existed?

Nice set. Now I know what range I'd like to see in your other thread.

It has crossed my mind....more as a display item than a gaming one. Interesting mix, the CORE and BOPE guys having lots of cool stuff like HK-417 and M-4 carbines.

If you want something now, a mix of the Hasslefree modern troopers and some converted Eureka PMC for CORE would make decent proxies.

Three other photos of the Madsen in use with the Brasilian police can be found here:

Yes, photos crop up of the PMERJ Madsens every couple of years. What makes it interesting is that PMERJ, BOPE in particular, have access to much more modern weapons, HK-21, Minimis etc.

But the real question is: Does anyone make a Madsen in 28mm?
