Title: (Kickstarter) TIKI versus CTHULHU Comic Book
Post by: Roebeast45 on April 03, 2014, 07:53:58 PM
Just a heads up about the new comic book project I'm working on. Tiki versus Cthulhu is the mythology of H.P. Lovecraft as re-imagined by Robert E. Howard, pulp-fiction adventure combined with Tiki culture but without the kitsch. It’s meant to show mankind’s epic struggle against elemental forces and the heroic fight to survive in a dangerous and threatening world. Degenerate hybrid cultists and noble tribesmen in a legendary battle for life itself.

Please have a look:

Thanks!

Nathen Wahl's brilliant companion pieces for Tiki versus Cthulhu. These will be included as mini-prints in the campaign. Colors by Ronda Pattison.

Figures would be nice, I think there is a Tiki golem in the Reaper range... if one could find a 50mm tall Cthulhu, you could make a fun 6mm game of it. Then again, who makes 6mm Deep Ones and Hawaiians? ;)

I'm usually not into US Comics (apart from vintage Disney newspaper strips and some other exceptions), but this looks rather fun. Good, clean lineart and nice colouring. Unfortunately, I cannot unsee that in the top image, Cthulhu appears to be wearing leather chaps.  lol
