Hobbylink is having a huge sale on the Maschinen Krieger battlesuits.
They're 1/35 but work well with 28mm (and are used by a lot of Weird War II gamers).
With discounts up to 85% off, it's worth it ordering from Japan.

Found this a couple of days ago and wanted to share it here, but by the time I had placed my order and received confirmation, the -85% ones were on backorder...
Anyway, I can still share the cost of shipment:
I bought 2x 24 MaKs (3600 Yen in total); shipping costs to Belgium 6200 Yen. Well worth it, because we still have to wait what these little gems are going to cost when rereleased (Hasegawa, was it not?).

Hasegawa yes, whether or not anything comes out in 1/35 is still up in the air.

Their first release is the Falke next winter in 1/20.
I think I got lucky on the HLJ sale, I ordered last week just before everything came back as low stock. How can they say the stuff is backordered when the manufacturer has stopped making things?

I guess it's an automatic thing in their computor program, since it also quotes they can't be sure of restock.

I very, very rarely order anything from HLJ, but I had to jump on this one! By the time I saw Rudi's post, most of the 85% off stuff was gone. I got one pack of the B-grade fireballs and one of the Melusine DCU - more than that would have been an embarrassment of armor suits. As it is, 29 suits is more than enough for the size of games I put on!
-
NOW my order now reads that the SAFS are a future item. Hmmm, how can that be when the company has discontinued manufacture? I gather HLJ had a HUGE response to their offering!
-
Oddly, I got a paymant request for everything I ordered, including those items and no mention of being out of stock.
-
HLJ really needs to update to a realtime shopping cart, 'cause now I have an order in process screen and it includes everything I ordered. Who knows what I'll get at this point. The last order I made took 10 days from the Pac rim to the U.S. including processing, I coughed hard for the shipping. This time it's taken 5 days just to process!
I'm not complaining, at least I'm not paying 15 dollars a figure from an ebay dealer in China!
-
I haven't gotten my shipping quote yet, but I think my order was processed. ???
-
its a great deal, but i have around 50 of these... :D ;)
-
Well, received an e-mail today to confirm that my full order, including the B-grade stuff has been shipped.
Of course, this means I'm going to have way too many MA.K's. lol
-
Likewise, got my confirmation email this morning for my full order.
Shipping was absurd and the system wants 72 hours before it can track my package. :(

Yeah, shipping surprised me a bit, but then it is all the way from Japan and with everything I ordered, it will be a big box, so it's not thát far out I suppose.
-
Be careful with the boxes! I ordered the DCU and the SAFS multipacks, the plastic/vinyl they used is very brittle in parts, I snapped off a hand and a camera just getting them out of the clamshells.
The arms on the SAFS are almost seized up, I'm going to try soaking the models in hot water, maybe that'll loosen the plastic. All in all a great deal though, the suits came down to less than 2 bucks each!
Anyone else get their stuff?

I actually received a shipping confirmation!

Yeah. Nothing for 2 days and suddenly it's in New York as of last night, which probably means delivery today.
And we're leaving this morning to visit family for the weekend.

Ok, final update for my order: they arrived today, custom's fee was 10 Euros (not too bad...). Total spent: 37 + 10 Euros = 47 Euros : 24 M.a.K.s = 1.96 Euro/piece. See if Hasegawa will beat this (if ever...). Since I've got 72 M.a.Ks now, re-issue is not an issue for me... :D
