Thinking about ordering them... just wondering how they scale up!
-
these look great! I could really use some more cops / survivor minis. my armies are quite light on those and i need them for battle reports.. I'll try googling to see if anyone took some scale shots to see how they match up.

Scale up to what?
-
The usual suspects I suppose... Hasslefree/Studio Minis / Copplestone/ Foundry/ Mongoose/ Citadel
-
or just to any other well known 28mm mini.. i have so many different minis from different companies it is something to be wary of. like take dust tactics for example, i picked up a pack to use as my fallout Anchorage troops and turns out they are just to big.. I can still use them but it's just one of those things..

I'll see if I can borrow a couple to take a comparison pic, don't have them myself but I know a man with them all ;)

I turned up this blog (http://joevideki.com/TMWOJV-Index-2010.html) with North Star models in it scaled up against other ranges. I've seen North Star's other pulp ranges and they sit about Warlord Games' miniatures (like Bolt Actions) as far as scale goes. Its not like they'll be heads taller than your average 28mm model, nor are they on the "heroic" end of things.
You'd probably receive more of a response if you asked this in the post-modern board too. You may be intending them for post apocalyptic uses, but the original models are from a different genre that the people who look at that board more often may know more about (or have you just grown comfortable living here now? It is rather scary outside...). ^^

I'm sure I would Wyrmalia, but my chances of getting them compared to Modern/Post Apoc figs were going to be greater here (as that's my intended use). Thanks for the link!

I've got them. They are right to scale w/ everyone else! Burly next to the slim Hasslefree, but close enough, and good w/ Copplestone and the like.
I'm right over the border. If you're in the neighborhood of Youngstown ever, drop by and see them!

I just recently painted them up for a friend. They are noticably bigger than the The Assault Group's SWAT figures if that helps you.

Very cool! I'm relocating my family to the area right now; still have to go back to Memphis and pack/sell the house.
Any local cons/shops/etc in that part of NY I should know about?

Achilles - I got 'em. Think Copplestone. Bigger than HF, not spindly like Infinity. Match well with Wargames Foundry Street Violence. That help?

That's perfect Den. Smiley I've got both Foundry and Copplestone figs I was thinking of pairing them with for my Zambies games. :)
