Relatively easy I suspect/hope
1) Female in Chinese peasant style attire - wearing pants (will spend much time in trees)
25+ mm tall (preferably no taller than 28mm) but the right figure if taller can be 'explained' in the fluff
Prefer no weapons (open handed a plus) or at most a staff/tool that can be cut off/to a staff appearance
2) Male, East Indian in simple light clothing - think Mowgli grown up and wearing a top with the loin cloth style look, pants acceptable if plain, with muzzle loading rifle, no swords/military melee weapons or pistols
25+ mm tall (preferably no taller than 28mm) but the right figure if taller can be 'explained' in the fluff

Glenn I will look through my bookmarks for this if you find me a good figure for the leader of U-troop.

What about the female reaper monk with the staff?

Not perfect but pants wearing asian female with staff.
Here is one with no staff.

Not a huge fan of the ample bosoms though so I will keep looking.

In the uniform of that period? That is almost certainly not how most mountie figures (as you know I am sure) are depicted in 28 +/- mm figures that I have seen -usually the stereotypical hat and red jacket like (I think) Bob Murch has. Maybe a quick search online will help me know what the 1890 field uniform Mounties look like... I figure that is where to start.

I am looking for a miniature that matches the description in the book. He will be leading at least 5 mounties from from pulp miniatures, reaper Sasquatch and medicane man and some native warriors (still looking for good Cree warriors).

Middle one for your male.

Sadly the description in the book is different then those pictures or I would use the pulp miniatures Sgt. Prestown of the Yukon.

This description on page 31?
"Inspector Robert Etienne... Mixed Anglo-French parentage... carrying two non-regulation colt revolvers... weaing a light chain mail shirt under his uniform... "
That is pretty open to interpretation, no?

It does but I have not found a uniform similar to the Mounties with to pistols.

Yeeeeesss.... My wife's Tai Chi instructor (and my ex-instructor) is clearly feminine/female but there is no 'flashing' in her class (teaching) or private style of dress. Even being around the sexual revolution in SoCal I can not say that there were a lot of scantily clad Asian females. Decorum in public was the model. I can neither confirm or deny about private behaviors. Well, I can but I won't..

That is very nice - no need to rush to buy the figure right now... I have other figures in/on other "Tarzan" teams to paint...

Both of those would be very good but for the cleavage on a female monk (yes, I know, "But it is fantasy,") - it just seems 'wrong' in an aesthetic sense to me. Just my preference... YMMV...
