This was a tough choice, the painting was superb with both entries.

Once again we need a "Both" button...

Frank, I'd love to see a wider photo of your setup for this type of photo - the staging and such, where you put lights, that sort of thing.

The Anglo-Danes have a wonderfully subdued palette, very realistic and a little bit grim. Lovely.

That gateway in the background is too cool Frank- you need to provide a closeup of that at some point.

Some beautiful Anglo-Saxon, Nord! I like the plastic-miniatures from Gripping beast and I like what you have done with it.

The gate, wall and the temples are made by Wolfgang Jaedtke. It was of gift, which we used for a TACTICA presentation in 2009.

By the way…the gate and my miniatures are in scale 1/72.
