Whoops, I meant to mention this when I posted earlier and I apologise of this is seen as naked marketing. I can assure you I am fully clothed as I type this!
Chain of Command has been nominated for an Origins Award in the category of Best Historical Miniatures Game. A fantastic accolade and we're very proud of it. So, to celebrate, we're running a sale on all Chain of Command products from now until the 1st of May with 15% off all products in the range. Hopefully that will give more people a chance to see the rules before the big Origins show in Ohio in June.
Cheers

How do I get a free set of rules then?
Explanation - I've been meaning to buy 'Chain of Command' for a while now, but parting me from my money is like getting a whelk off a rock.
-
Get in to this sale now! Believe me, you will like the rules! I just got 30 Heer and 21 FJ in the mail today as well as an HMG and a medium mortar, all with crews. Also some guns but at best the Pak 40 might see action, the 88, 105 and Neb will be used for objectives or ther rules. o_o

Seriously do recommend anyone on the fence drops over to Lard-side. These rules really are a must for any WW2 enthusiast.

That's fine ... but how do I get a free set?

You may find they are not free. However, they do have a number of free downloads for army lists etc.
Sorry that I can't be of better help.
Cheers,
Helen

You could try asking Santa.

That would surely involve some form of transfer from the 'Naughty' list to the 'Nice' list.
Hmmm ... couldn't I just paint something?

Ordered my set yesterday, seeing the game at Salute swayed me, the discount is a bonus!

The comments tempt me to buy something... have heard nothing but praise for CoC till now, seems like the WW2 rule set to me (well, as far as I remember Wargames, Soldiers and Strategies told me so, too).

Hi Rich,
Quick question, are the rules playable in 15mm? I have a boatload of FoW stuff in blisters and I'm sure I can put together a small force for CoC if the scale would work out.
Cheers!
-
Yes the rules work in 15mm
There are even some playing in 6mm

Fantastic! And thanks! :D

Ok, last question! What's the difference between 'full bits' and 'some bits' packages? The descriptions look identical....
-
Some bits doesn't have the 28mm scale jump off points included, so if you ate going with 15mm that's the one you want.

In my opinion they work better in 15mm than in 28mm. With 15mm the ground scale is just about identical to the figure scale.

I've been reading through the rules and they look great so far!
