Title: Khurasan previews 18mm French Legere, 1807-13

We've just had Steve Dean paint up our 1807-13 French legere in 18mm scale, which we'll soon be adding to our new Napoleonics range. Mike Broadbent sculpted these.

Command

It's not visible here, but the tails on the coats are shorter than for the ligne.

As you can see, we try to strike a reasonable mean in the battlefield appearance of our models -- they wear campaigning trousers but otherwise have tried to up their appearance to the extent possible, as accounts often describe. The only model not wearing the campaigning trousers is the officer.

These are meant for the period starting when the Legere began wearing the normal shako and ending with the widespread adoption of the Bardin reforms, in 1813.

We have some French infantry colonels coming after these, also grenadiers in bearskins for Spain.  Cheers for looking.
