Wow  :o :-*

Predicting a close result here... Frank's stunning Star Wars scene, Neldoreth's wondefrul detailed paintwork... So different, but both brilliant  :)

Excellent lads, it's a difficult choice this, I like them both and to be frank, one of them is Frank   ;)

Goodness.  Beautiful work.  Who makes the female warrior standing on the rock with sword and shield?

Well, I guess I had to be sent up against Frank at some point! Frank, excellent work, inspiring!

The adventurers are all Reaper Miniatures' figures, the female on the hill there is known as the Gray Maiden.

Thanks

This one is close as both have different strengths.

Neldorath-you've got such a style to your painting, that I'm beginning to be able to pick out your figs without looking at the name. Lovely, lovely brushwork.

Will "The Frank" get knocked off this round...? Neldoreth could well be the one to do it! Both did an amazing job on the painting. The sheer amount of detail (all of it highlighted in different shades, it seems -- look at the peacock shield) of Neldoreth's work vs. the gorgeous staging (how does he do that lighting effect?).

We are truly blessed to be able to admire the work of such excellent artists, here... :o o_o

So very close.  Need a tie breaker, so again I go with the Dog.

Stunning work, Neldoreth! Your are really the master of shield-designs 8)

@ stelzone: The miniatures (prepainted plastics) are made by Wizard of the coast, but are out of production. But I am sure you will find lots of them on ebay or online-traders of collectible miniatures.

@ mikedemana: I will show a making off picture of the light effects next week…more or less it is made with filter cotton (don’t know the English word), some spray colour and light.

That's some impressive painting right there Neldoreth. Awesome work.

Frank displaying his high contrast style very effectively, and the special effects photo is the cherry on top.

Great work both!

Thanks all, I appreciate the positive feedback, and honoured to have been a tough choice when compared to Frank! :)

@Frank - You are the master of the diorama staging! That's not to mention the excellent painting of course. You've inspired me to work towards the next level!

Thanks again,
n.
