Title: 1/56 SCW Vehicles
Post by: Tannenberg on 30 April 2014, 08:39:35 PM
Hi all, just thought I would drop a quick message about some 1/56 SCW vehicles we will now be selling via our site.
We are proud to present, from Minairons Miniatures, their range of 1/56 scale vehicles. These are part of a continually growing range aimed at those of you who are interested in gaming the Spanish Civil War, in 28mm scale, or for collectors alike. Made with great precision and an eye for detail, these will grace any wargaming table or display cabinet. You can see further photos of these vehicles on our 'What's New at Rif Raf' page.

Thanks for the heads up Tannenberg.

Q

1. Do you still sell the Rif War 28mm figures...if  not who does?

2. Are you able to put pictures up of your figures so we can see please

3. Do your figures match in with the minis from Empress Miniatures?...comparison shots anyone?

Thanks again.

Hi there and many thanks for your message HW:)

The Rif War range of figures isn't getting sold by anyone at the moment.  But, this may change at some point in the future.
The SCW range we are selling, on behalf of Burns Miniatures, are the Force of Arms ones which have been bought over by Dave Burns.  I have been told by Dave that the figures fit in nicely with the Empress ones but I don't, unfortunately, have any of the Empress SCW figures to compare with the now Burns Miniature ones.
I will be painting the figures from the range and hope to eventually have photos, up on our site, of them.
I hope this is of some help to you and, if I can, I will try and get some comparison photos up for you :)

Wishing you all the best,

Marco

Hi Tannenberg,

Thanks very much for the details in your post.

I shall look with interest to seeing some online and in comparison shots.

Cheers

The Force of arms figures are about the same.
the main difference is hands and rifles, where Empress are wee bit bigger.
Burns miniatures are in Pewter.
I will try and stick up some pictures of both together at the weekend ?
cheers

For the really impatient ones ;)

Most of the series painted.

I have most of the original FOA SCW figures and they do indeed match the Anglian/Empress miniatures somewhat.
Detail is a little softer but with a little work can be improved a lot. Well worth the effort as they have some really unique sets. The MMG sets for instance are excellent.

Pennies being saved, because I need two of those Henchel trucks, one to tow an 88mm,

the other to convert into a mobile field office.
