Title: New Flakpanzer I ausf. A
Post by: Lluís of Minairons on May 01, 2014, 10:54:23 AM
Really delighted to present you our first WWII model kit! --the first one not related to SCW too, I mean.

It's the Flakpanzer version of Panzer I ausf. A at 1/100th scale --a mixed kit consisting of 6 hard plastic, 7 high quality resin and 1 white metal parts, besides of a 3 German crewmen also in white metal. Such 15mm crewmen have been sculpted by Angel Terol --the same artist currently working on our 20mm Militiawomen.

As far as I know, one single Flakpanzerabteilung was equipped with these mobile AA weapons; formed in Romania just prior to Barbarossa, it participated in the invasion of Ukraine and ended up its days at Stalingrad. You can watch in the picture below what do these vehicles look like, once painted by Rubén Torregrosa of Heresy Brush (http://www.heresybrush.com/).

1/100 Flakpanzer I ausf. A is already available at our www.minairons.eu (http://www.minairons.eu/) website. It can be purchased by the two in a box, complimented by an assembling instructions sheet.

The 1/72nd scale version of this AA vehicle is already finished too --it will be released within May.

Regards,
Lluís

Well, when you're trying to work at several scales altogether, you must go step by step...

As said, the 1/72 scale version of this particular model is on the pipeline right now - and advancing at good pace. The only main difference between this version and its smaller sister is related to the accompanying crewmen, here sculpted by Juan Bautista --the same artist who's also been entrusted the bulk of our 20mm SCW figures range. That's what its looks like once painted - same painter as above:

Good work, you can see that the crewmen are watchfully scanning the skies.

Stunning paint jobs, especially on the 15mm, how do you paint eagles on the chests of figures that small
My only thing about the kit is the thickness of the gun shield?

Hello,

a very good paintjob, but some of this men look a we bit thin.  Like girls. Are they hungry?
Hope to see (grab)  them in 1/72. Maybe for AVBCW.

 Yours Sebastian
