lol ah, I've got quite a collection of these. I just like the figures :)
That's a great setting Steve.

I have to agree.
I am still trying to recover from the shock myself.
;)

wow,Captain Blood doing Sci-fi ;D ;D
-
Like the rest of you I was thrown a bit by this one :)
I always go through the matches without looking at the names and I thought Captain Blood style... but sci-fi. Then I decided he would be bold enough to put those bursts of color on those ratty looking guys. Really beautiful painting!
And smooth painting on the Eldar robes, very nice indeed.

Love both of these. Mmm. Which to vote for? :?

Great match-up!

lol I love the fact that you are so shocked.
If you look back through the previous LPLs, I think you'll find I've done quite a few sci-fi teams before 8)
I must admit sci-fi and fantasy figures don't really float my boat. But I'm quite partial to near future stuff, and I do like nicely sculpted figures... Which is why I have (painted) the entire Copplestone Future Wars range, and have about 40 of these lovely Pig Iron ferals and rebels either painted or yet to paint!
Variety is good, n'est ce pas? ;)

Indeed it is good :)
Now I need to find your pics of all the Future Wars stuff! I was just thinking this morning how that range has held up really well despite its age. I'm sure you did them justice.

He Richard, the choice of colours and of course the execution is just perfect. And I’m a big fan of this cable spool (or whatever it is) in the background. It has a nice grey-green colour and fits perfect with the miniatures.

Thanks Frank. The cable reel and oil drums are piece from Snapdragon Studios - now sadly out of production. Excellent pieces - I have quite a few of them. They came pre-painted, so I can't really take any credit for the scenery on this one :)

This season brought the dark side of Captain Blood out, I think. Richard, you can also scifi. A real woderboy...

Thanks Dirk.
Well perhaps Future Wars / post-apoc more than sci-fi... I do like the post-apoc genre. (You know, because we've played SSS together, after all 8))
But no, I've never touched a Warhammer 40K figure ;)
