Title: Agema miniatures Velites
Post by: Blofeld on 20 May 2014, 08:49:58 PM
Does anyone have any ideas what these miniatures could be used for in IHMN? They look like they're superb quality and with a price like that who can resist?
Thanks Frontline Armchair

I would make a Romulus cult, or Neo-Roman group. Throw in some legionaries modified with some rifles (I would just glue the rifles to the back of a Legionnaire I am lazy that way). I would use this fellow as the leader with a arc pistol or something.

If the likes of Sir Henry Rider Haggard and Edgar Rice Burroughs are to be believed, during Victorian times the interior of Africa was crammed with lost cities full of white folks dressed up like Romans or what-have-you. Usually there was already all kinds of trouble brewing, and they would be ripe for some blundering heroes to barge in and accidentally spark off a civil war (often by rather inappropriately falling in love with the local princess/priestess). This was in fact, how Allan Quatermain met his end.

You could barely walk ten feet into the white spaces on the map without bumping into one of these places. Might make for a fun scenario. :)

Ah to tread the marble stairs of Ophir once more... sigh... it would be too much to ask

Sir I beg to differ Mister Quatermain was recently spotted fighting a Vampire on the Streets of Edo Japan.

My plan is to link a neo-Roman cult with the last member of the famous Medici family attempting to revive his family fortunes through any means necessary. I'm going to order the Velites at the weekend and I'll post a list and pictures up soon.
