Title: Futuristic diecast vehicles from China
Post by: Predatorpt on 22 May 2014, 02:21:31 AM
While searching for some Panhard diecasts on Ebay, I came across this seller:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/shop2009mb?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

They offer lots of...let's say "futuristic" vehicles. I ended up buying this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181375248796?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

(http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj93/predatorpt/Forums/003_zps8867745f.jpg)

With a Copplestone gangster and a AT-43 UNA figure:

Positive points: it's a big vehicle that, as far as I know, doesn't exist in real life, so it can be used as a future vehicle. Its got hatches that open and a interior (the rack with shells, last picture) that can be removed with little effort. Its even got a ramp that lowers, lol.

Negative points: the machine gun, mirrors and aerials are all in soft plastic (a pain to paint) and it's a vehicle with lights and sound, so you'll need to remove the batteries/all the stuff inside.

The same seller also lists these other vehicles:

A LAV that's transformed into an artillery vehicle  ;D
(http://i.ebayimg.com/t/8-wheeled-alloy-14-08-howitzer-armored-Diecast-tank-model-light-sound-Green-/00/s/NzkyWDgwMA==/z/nnQAAOxyeZNTQl-v/$_12.JPG)

And these Humvee-like transports:
(http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Hummer-4-door-wheel-armored-military-vehicles-alloy-car-model-light-sound-Green-/00/s/NjIxWDc1MQ==/z/hiIAAOxycD9TQhMF/$_12.JPG)

The size of these ones seems to be slightly smaller than the one I bought, so maybe it can be used with 28mm figures. I'll try and buy one when I have the funds available and then I'll post a shore review here.

ooh great find Rodrigo.I'd be interested in the Humvee like Vehicles,Fingers crossed they're not to big for 28mm  ;D ;D

Edit: Top one looks like the Bundeswehr Luchs Radpanzer  :P

Ahh, they bolted that tank turret on top of a Luchs. But it's still unusual enough to be "future" stuff, lol. As soon as I have a " Humvee" I'll let you know.

Something I forgot to mention - the seller has got lots of negative feedback but I can't say anything bad about him! The vehicle was properly protected (and it was sent as a Gift) and the seller even sent me an email yesterday - in proper English - asking if everything was ok with my order and if the vehicle had already arrived and I was happy with it.

Cheers for the heads up, Rodrigo! 8)

Loving those Hummeresque vehicles. I might be tempted to get a few...

+++EDIT+++ I saw the measurements, and that would be one big buddy. It's 16.5cm long, 6.4cm wide and 8cm tall. Meaning (at a very forgiving 1/50 scale) that the truck would be 3.2 meters wide, 8.25m long and 4m tall lol

Then again; this would be scifi...

The bottom one is a kind of knock-off on the Russian Tigre vehicles as well.

I'll have to measure my vehicle because I think the measurements you see on the site aren't the real ones. But I can always use it to do something like this:

I will say the LAV body looks like a rather good one for conversion to grav tank, i.e. 'de-wheeled', but the diecast would make the work more tricky than with a styrene/ABS body.

People who can take and rework such have my unalloyed admiration.

Pred, did you try a 'best offer'? Just curious if seller is open to a little haggling.

Unfortunately when I bought the vehicle there wasn't that option - Best Offer - available. But I'll have to try that next time I buy the "not-Humvee"

Those wheeled vehicles look more like panthers than hummers. Nice though might be interested in a few for my eventual D9 game.
