I know of course that Rome is one huge historical site and I have a lot of visits planned. But are there any locations gamewise one can point me to?

The Police Station, to report the latest thing that's been stolen from you.

I understand the police does not respond to thieving prices ;)
But I was hoping for more wargames-related tips. I know how to look after my stuff :D

There's a small military regalia shop, not far from the Bridge of Angels, if the Far Right happens to be your thing :o :o
I got the hell out of there ...

There is a small miniature store a few stops on the train away from the colloseum. Part of town looks a bit shifty but the store is very nice and the owner was very helpful and friendly despite speaking little english.
I think this is the place http://www.strategianova.it/
I regret not picking up more stuff when I was there. They had some cool metal models such someone getting knighted and a bunch of other stuff.

Strategia e Tattica is the main reference for historicals. Ten minutes walk from the Termini train station. Lots of books, lots of 15mm, but also 28's. Resin scenery and they have their own ranges too, maily WW2 Italians iirc.
Some boxes with old stuff were you might find a bargain. *EDIT!* just found out they closed! apparently they moved and became Strategia Nova mentioned above.

You could always bring your sword and go to the Colosseum. ;) ;D

They're waiting:

Take the horse drawn carriage tour.
Lots of fun and it passes all the important tourist sites.

Thanks for the tips!
