Hi All,
My first X-Wing conversion. I thought the YT-1300 gave the most options for this so far. Not a radical departure from the Center Cockpit conversion, but I thought to mix it up a bit.

What a piece of junk..... Skywalker always was so scathing. :D
Nice conversion, great thing about the YT is there are so many options you can realky make it your own personal smugglers plaything.
:D

Great looking conversion!

Cheers Mates! The antenna idea came after looking at my Osprey Luftwaffe Nightfighter's book.

Grab the millennium falcon haynes guide. Brilliant resource.

That is awesome. What a great way to appropriate Haynes Manuals!

Some nice plasticard work there. Good concept and execution.

Ok, primed it up and then before bed hit it with the first coat of white. I also wanted to try something, I primed in grey and thought to undercoat in white before the basecoat of orange. But then I thought, what if I use white on the top and add extra shading by keeping the grey primer on the bottom? So far after the first coat and orange it is quite noticeable and not unpleasing. Anyhoo, it's all taped and first coated. I think two more and it'll ink and detail it up. The nice thing with the x-wing paint jobs is that it's not super duper detail to make them look quite nice. I also settled on a narrative. I'll use a 'not-Lando' for the character card (Change name and picture, but keep it the same but not allow both in the same game) named von Richt and the boat is the Flying Circus.

Hoi All,
This was a quick, but fun, build. I wanted it done for our club day tomorrow and my Dual Falcon build (total noob).
As always, C&C are heartily welcomed!

:-* Very nice TBC, ver nice indeed

Looks more like a YT-1000 freighter with the center cockpit, but a nice one that I remember from the WotC boxed set started for the D20 RPG's special issue of Gamer
-
WEST END GAMES expanding the RPG's SW universe, published a "Stock Light Freighters" supplement, that explained that the YT-1200, one of the most extended model from Corellian Engineering, had three configurations, one on the left, one on the right, and one on the middle, that lately was adopted on the YT-2000.
In any case, your conversion is really nice. inspiring!.
good Job!

Fine conversion there. Looks the part. :)

Great stuff, I like the colour scheme 8) 8)
One thing I would mention though is loosing the quad laser glazing and mount from the top, seems a bit redundant now (just a styrene panel covering it would do) .
cheers

Thanks for all of the encouragement! Like I said, it was a quick and fun project.
I hear you Jim about the gun mount. I decided to keep it on after hemming and hawing for an hour or so. I kept putting it on and taking it off, but ultimately decided to add it because it sort of reminded me of the Photon Torpedo tubes on the Reliant and I put a decent scratch into the plastic when I removed the mounts to begin with... :D To be honest, the second reason played more than the first, I just didnt wan to fix the scratch up. Normally it wouldnt bother me too much, but since it was sufficiently deep and right on top, I went with the mount...
