And so it begins. I've been bitten by the goblin-bug. For a long time I have managed to avoid it, but now I must collect a huge mass of Kevin Adams' goblins, and related miniatures.
Right here we have two absolutely amazing Midlam characters. The warriors are Harlequin. In the back a unit of Chaos Marauders, inspired by the old John Blanche painting of orcs, goblins and beastmen. the mini's are Harlequin with some plastic milton bradley/GW Battlemasters beastmen (- by kev adams). Over the coming time I should be adding Hasslefree, Crooked Claw, more Midlam, more Harlequin, Black Hat, Mannequin, Heartbreaker (Ral Partha), Alternative Armies, Grendel goblin rabble testudo, Disturbia monstrousities... etc.

Very nice choice of models. 8) 8) 8)
What is the big white beastie next to the old BloodBowl troll (which is a favourite old school model of mine)?

Looking forward to seeing some paint on these!

NIce change tp see a Goblin army that ISN'T GW...
Are you going to go for nice bright 'period' colours??

The beast is from Grendel, from the old Leviathan line. This particular one has an orc rider, but there are others with goblins.
As for colours I'm not sure yet. Some definately old yellowish Bilious Green that I still have, and others more realistic olive drab or even ochre.

Thanks, very nice, should fit in well with the goblins.

Nice! Definitely need to follow this ;D

This can only end up good.

I have always wondered about Bilious Green, and also Woodland Green. I have never been able to get my hands on a pot for a reasonable price. By the time I got inot the hobby it was Scorpion Green and Snot Green. I don't suppose you are able to say if my assumptions about matches are accurate? Many thanks.
Personally I would go for the 90s style bright green, but that is just me!

I'm suffering a painters block, but the goblins keep coming in! :)

Impressive force.
Perosnally I would undercoat black then re prime the skin white. Then 50/50 Goblin Green and Yellow of choice. Then Green Ink skin. Then highlight up adding more yellow and white. Armour and clothes paint per standard.
That may or may not be of assistance!

That will make a nice army! :)
For colours... I have never been enthusiastic of GW green Goblins. I prefer to follow the old AD&D Monster Manual which says they can be from brick red to yellow ochre. It gives them more personality.
