Title: Old Glory/Blue Moon Manufacturing, new buildings
Post by: argsilverson on July 24, 2008, 10:25:57 AM
While surfing around I found this announcement on TMP

http://theminiaturespage.com/news/416951/

So Blue Moon has released some very promising buildings.
I just want also to point out that the painted minis presented on the photos are far better than the painting in their other photos.

How nice if they had released some for VSF as well!

Hmmm. Well, they're certainly interesting looking buildings. And you can never have too many half-timbered buildings in your village  ;)

But it's impossible to tell what they really look like with that weird washed-out pre-paint job.

What's that all about?

Would be interested to see one or two painted up properly to see how they measure up.

Look fine, would be great for Musketeer games.

IIRC the company that casts these up for them will only put a certain number of colors on them. So they do a "base" color and the roof. My friend got their castle and it takes paint very well right over the "pre-paint".

I would point out that the figures in the photo are not blown up to 2-3X actual size like the other ones on their site are. I suspect these do not look as good in person.

Very nice they look more suited to urban towns as they have what looks like a pavement (side walk) molded onto them, which being picky looks like it could be vulnerable if made of foam and one looks a little warped?
