Title: Looking for 28mm Confederate deserters /Bandits in looted Uniforms
Post by: Chico on June 18, 2014, 10:07:59 PM
Heya,

I've been drawn into playing alot of Dead Man's Hand Rules set with a small number of others in my local club and I've always been a fan ACW.

Now I'd like to form/base my gang of Outlaws/cut-throats on a bunch of Confederate Deserters, but have no idea what miniatures are out there.

Anyone know of any? Only need around 7 and must be 28mm

Many thanks
Chico

Hi Chico.

I think your best option are Quantrill Riders from Foundry:

Forget about the painjob on some minis, some jackets and coats can be painted with confederate colours.

Edit: Oh, and check this one too:

Thanks very much for the help, on another group I've got shown them and there are very nice indeed.

ATM I'm leaning towards these:

But it's far from perfect, as they are too clean cut.

One of the DMH boxes is essentially just what you describe...a bunch of ex-Civil War lookin' fellas.  Can't recall which box.

EDIT: I take it back, the Desperados have several but they're mixed with indians and Mexicans.

Aye there's a few mixed in with other sets but I don't fancy having to pick up all the sets just to cherry pick 1 or 2 of each.

Cheers

Talk to Dave Thomas and see what he can conjure up.

He won't be conjuring you up a delicious burger...or frosty anytime soon.

For our LAF related DT, that would mean the collapse of the UK second hand figure industry!  lol
