Hi all,
for quite some time (almost three years) I work on and off on my Later Carthaginian Field of Glory army. I thought it is time to present the finished contigents and I'll start with the Liby-Phoenician Spearmen. I have some proper Corvus Belli Veteran Spearmen miniatures I will paint up later, but for now these guys should be suitable for Iberia and the First Punic War.
More pictures and some thoughts about using them in Field of Glory and the colour scheme you'll find on my Blog (http://daggerandbrush.wordpress.com/2014/06/19/liby-phoenician-spearmen-the-backbone-of-any-carthaginian-army/).

Thank you gentlemen for the positive comments. Glad you like them and the scene arrangement. There are a number of units still to come, but I first need a slightly bigger background, as I am always limited by the size ofthe print.
I am actually quite surprised how colourful they are when photographed under proper lighting conditions. On the gaming table in dim garages they look less vibrant.

Really cool. Is that Lake Trasimeno on the background :D
I know...Wrong war. ;)

Well, lets say another chapter of the same conflict ;). Initially I made the piece with lake Trasimeno in mind (and to have impassable terrain for FoG :P). One day I might make a double sized lake with Romans and Carthaginians fighting each other. More like a Diorama or set piece for a lake Trasimeno scenario.
However, another shot of the spearmen, showing the entire unit.

What a great piece of terrain! And your scratch painted shields cannot be beat. Nicely done.

Very nice work, Peithetairos! :)
