I just visited the store today for only the second time and was amazed at what I saw. Ever seen one of those James Bond films where he walks into an ordinary looking office or restaurant or something, and then someone opens a door and there's a big warehouse full of people doing martial arts training and setting things on fire? Well it wasn't much like that.
However, out back of the modestly sized store (packed to the rafters with goodies though it is) there was indeed a large echoing space with loads of gorgeously terrained gaming tables, a smattering of happy gamers and even a bar! I knew it was the home of the Cardiff and district wargaming club, but I had no idea they had such impressive facilities.
If you're anywhere in South Wales or West England I can thoroughly recommend the trip. It's probably handy for anyone going to Crusade in Penarth, too and is to be found a mere two minute's walk from the back of the Cardiff Central train station. It's in Trade Street, off Penarth Road (look for the Enterprise Car Hire on the corner and that's your turn) and is well worth a quick visit.

Good man. Cardiff is a neat wee city, with the city centre condensed into an area you can comfortably walk across in 20 minutes. Just remember to go behind the train station (asking directions would probably be best, or use a sat-nav) and then Trade Street is a minute or two from there, to your right. Look out for the big green 'Enterprise Car Hire' sign, which is on the corner.

Visited yesterday. A beautiful store chocked full of product, with a large gaming space and a licences bar. Highly recommended!

Does anyone know how close the store is to the Doctor Who exhibition centre that is in Cardiff?
-
I think thats in cardiff bay which is a bus trip away ??

If the Dr Who Museum is in the bay then you can get on the train in the bay and two stops later be a 5 min walk from firestorm games. When are you heading down Archie? Most of my friends are in Cardiff so I am there once every few months.

Its a long story but sometime in the next six months I should be there for a weekend with my youngest son. I will let you know when the date is set and maybe we can meet up.
Doctor Who and wargames in one day ... sounds awesome!
