Okay, so a few weeks ago at Enfilade in Olympia Washington, I ran a homebrew Pirate system (I have been calling it Pieces of Eight) based on (of course) d8s. While there were two Undead ships, I feel comfortable placing it here, because it was as Piraty as they come. All ships, terrain and models were converted and/or painted by yours truly. If the moderator feels this should move to Fantasy because I had Giant Hermit Crabs, Skeletons, and Pygmies, I won't object.
Pictures!

I had no end of 'yars' and 'ahoys' when we were playing, so I think I can call the game a success.

That looks like an absolute riot. How is Enfilade? Good con? (I'm on the "better" coast so it's likely I'll never attend... :'()

i'm not a great fan of the toy-ships but nice looking fantasy game ;)
( and if it's fantasy, it's no more fantasy than most of the "historical"pirate games i have seen those last years, pirates of the caribbean is no more historical than King Arthur Carrousel ;) )

As a historical convention, it is a good one. They actually had no more room for games in a couple of sessions this year. I am one of the outliers that keeps bringing fantasy and science fiction games in, because, well, people need to stretch their horizons.
I *am* a fan of the converted Megabloks and Playmobil ships - as you can see - as they are large enough to allow 28mm figures to move on them without crowding, and with a little conversion work, they scale well visually.
