Did you paint the board first and then apply Liquetex or does it come in blue shade?
-
liquitex medium is clear so you have to paint before .

Many thanks. Agreed its an art store item, I ordered mine from Takapuna Art Supplies in Auckland, but you will probably find it at your local art store, or online equivalent, plus I believe Amazon also stock it... comes in various sizes.
Just google 'Liquitex Gloss Gel Medium'
Cheers

Damned good looking Scott.
I hope it proves durable. Might have to give that a try myself. Thanks for sharing the method :)

I hope so too. Its seems rather durable, at least according to the TerranGenesis youtube vids...
I does seem quite tough to the touch, so I think it should be OK moving balsa type model ships across it etc... the test will come when I lift my port board back off it at the weekend and I see whats happened underneath! ;-)
Fingers crossed!
