Perhaps an odd question, but something that stuck me a little odd today is the number of guest on the post apocalyptic board. Typically the number of people viewing that board is in the low teens to twenties, but today I saw it go up to above ninety and its stayed consistently at over fifty. I checked the first few pages of recent threads and no significant numbers are on those, so either they're looking at old topics or just sitting idle admiring the riveting thread titles. The numbers just strike me as odd and I'm wondering if there's been any external publicity or something that could explain this, I mean purely to fulfil my own curiosity (hell perhaps my own plugging of the site finally hooked a few people).
Well that or its something maliscious, but I'm trying to err on the side of "woo, people are having a gander. Quick filch them for as much cash as we can before they leave!". =P

Zombicide S3 is launching soon...

If you click on the 'users online' sub-menu on the left it tells you that a LOT of guests are just viewing the Post-Apoc board itself without viewing any particular thread.
Make of that what you will..... o_o o_o

* Searches through Zombicide related threads.
Nah that's not it. I mean general interest perhaps, but none of the zombie threads have any viewers at this time. I could probably just look through the thirty odd pages of the board to find out which thread's generating all the views, but it seems mighty odd that there's all those guests and barely any of them are viewing topics on the first couple pages of the board. So either an old ass thread's had an external link to it or something, or we have a bunch of bots idling I guess. I mean I'm being entirely paranoid of course. ^^'

That's interesting.
I don't get any special stats or anything but a snapshot of a few moments ago shows that the forum has 325 guests with 52 of them in the PA board.
Pity I can't say what's attracting the interest......
..... I'll ask the Prof. ;)

Sampling shows the IPs to be suspicious, probably comment spammers, so I guess they could be on any thread, current or not. Seems this is nothing unusual. :)

My answer was more fun... :D

Ah, thanks for nailing that down. So what, time for some fisticuffs? I can start work on my board with a nail through it at a moment's notice (though the constant updating of my project log may slow progress somewhat, and exacerbate the matter).
-
I take it that that board's now down for non-users for the short time to handle the matter? Any information regarding this?

HI there
I got some questions from a couple of Guests other Boards who regulary visit my Project in the PostApoc Forum. They mentioned that the forum is not longer visible to them while in guest status and not reachable over google searchlinks. Is this working like intended by the Admins, or a temporary bug/ Countermessurment against the Commentbots?
-
Yep, the Prof has/is looking into this * and temporarily made the PA board invisible to guests.
* this, meaning the PA board's seeming interest to comment spammers

Thx for the clear up ! Hope it comes back for guests again.

Tell them to sign up and stop peeping through the window.

I am sure the Prof has it in hand :)

Today I had two pages of "replies to your posts", all from the PA forum and none of them actual recent updates.

So did I.
As the last time something similar happened was after the maintenance following the rearrangements of the boards, I imagine it was a side-effect of recent work on the Post-Apoc board following the 'comment-spammers' incident.

Paul is close and I'll provide an update soon. :)
