I was looking around on the web and came across this range of Indian Mutiny figures.
Any one on the Forum have any?
In photos, they look pretty good.
Any opinions? Thanks.

I've seen them at shows but not (yet) bought any. They're quite 'chunky', slightly bigger than Mutineer, not quite so finely detailed but better than Old Glory, for example.
I'd use them in separate units, but I'm not a purist when it comes to size anyway, especially for troop types not done by Mutineer.
BUT worth mentioning that Mutineer are talking about releasing some more packs, including variant Mutineer sepoys and British lancers, hopefully later this year.

I too have seen them at shows and their website and have always been amazed that none have appeared with paint on here. They are a bit chunkier but there are some really nice pieces and if I was still doing the period I would not hesitate to add them to my Mutineer stuff.

Having seen the range at a Durham show a while back I can say that they are chunkier and that I'm guessing they were sculpted by Roby Baker- at least they look to be in his style(?).
Darrell.

Yeah, to me they do have that Martin Baker look to them (I was looking at their FIW range) and wondered size wise if similar to Galloping major

Thank you for the replies.
I will probably stay away from them as all most all my guys are Foundry.

Have a look on the Grimsby site they are mainly Mutineer and AW and work well together although AW are chunkier, the British in all white with the havelocks on various photos are AW
cheers Dave

As already said, chunkier (& perhaps a little 'cruder') but not altogether bad.
I've done a quick with comparison photo between AW, Mutineer & Colonial Foundry types, that might help.

The AW are from SMB4 Sepoys in civies & the Mutineer from EIC17 Defenders of Lucknow.

Vern,
Thanks for the photos.
They are not that much bigger.
I may have to buy a few.
I still have a few hundred Foundry to painted.
Glad the World Cup is on.
I can use that as a reason to sit on my butt and paint. :)
