As a side project, i'm doing a bit of the old Mordheim rules.

The Rat Guys never looked better. Your War Band painted up BEAUTIFULLY...the Wizard conversion is an inspired piece. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Nice selection - always my favourite band in Mordheim. The conversions are a great idea and the bandages are very nicely done.
One problem you may find is the lack of ranged weapons - when you come up a band with bows / guns you can quickly fall apart in true Skaven tradition and end up running away (sorry regrouping off board)!
Good luck and watch those pesky Orcs (the downfall of my band)...
-
Most of my little ratty chaps have ranged weapons. :D
Assassin Adept = Dagger, sword, warplock pistols (brace)
Sorcerer = Dagger, club, sling; spell = gnawdoom
2x Black skaven = fighting claws
2x Night runners = Dagger, club, sling
4x Verminkin = Dagger, club, sling
So, 7x shots at 18" or 14x shots at 9" (+ the warplock pistol shot).
I'm planning to climb up to areas where others can't go and snipe from range.
My opponents are brutal looking:
Carnival of Chaos
Master - 2xdaggers
2x Brutes - great weapon
2x Tainted ones- hammer (Gift +1 wound +1 toughness)
5x Bretheren - hammer
Lizardmen
skink priest with spear
totem warrior sith shield and club
2x skink great crests with shield club and shortbow
3x saurus with shield and club
4x skinks with shield club and shortbow
Black orcs
(Not seen the list yet)
o_o
I'm also rely on my chaps running away to live to fight another day; something Ld4 will pretty much guarantee. Hehe...

So far the best group to take on are the Black Orcs as you cannot see the list :o
Any of those are going to be tough in hand to hand but then Skaven are much more fun from behind / side / top / underneath.

We still love and play Mordheim, and the Skaven are always a lot of fun. That is a nice looking warband!
-
Nice work. I'm planning a Skaven warband myself made up of the old metal 80s and 90s models. Mordheim is a great game; I look forward to reading more of your adventures.

The project progresses. We spent the weekend building some terrain.

Time well spent! The Wizardly Tower looks TERRIFIC even as a W.I.P. piece. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
-
Agreed. The wizard tower is really nice. Im looking forward to seeing it finished.
-
Yeah they look great, I like the basing used - are they 2mm MDF?
-

Things are progressing steadily (but slower than expected this week as i had to spend some time in the foul cesspit that is London this week for work).
Here's the latest report on the buildings and terrain http://luddite1811.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/mordheim-city-of-damned-part-3.html (http://luddite1811.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/mordheim-city-of-damned-part-3.html)

Like the idea of the shard smashing the pavement :D
