I haven't put anything up in a while so I thought I would post some Mongrel Minis Arabs I painted up a few months ago. They are fantastic figures. I've done a few more I'll photo when I get around to it. I love these figures.

Wow! Those are really nice. Excellent work.

Those scarfs are terrific - and the lines down the dark tracksuit! And the Brazil football top (correct?)! :-* :-* :-*

Isn't that a young Colonel Gaddafi with the RPG? ;)

Thanks for the comments! Vanvlak well spotted! The figure has a real young looking face so I imagined he would want something snazzy and someone once told me that the Brazilian team is really popular, especially in the "third world".
I only have two more done actually. I'll have to shoot them soon. They were alot of fun to paint. I enjoyed figuring out how to do the keffiyah and the woodland camo. Both got easier as I went along. The keffiyah is tricky, I'm still not a 100% satisfied.

Nice job SG. Very clean and at the same time the blending is nice and subtle.
-
Very well done. What game do you use them for?
-
Wow. They look great :o
-
They look fantastic! :) Top marks, that man!

These are great. Very good painting.

Thanks for all the positive feedback again.
Aesthete, I really just got them to paint but if I find an opponent and rule set I'd be happy to play. Somebody came out with a ruleset for Lebanon recently. I think it was that double named Coffin for Seven Brothers/Disposable Heroes thing. Its quite a mouthful.

Sweet painting.
The football shirt is such a great touch. I travel for work in the developing world quite a lot, and you see foreign football shirts everywhere. Anyone doing a modern guerilla army should automatically include at least one mini wearing colours for Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid... I'm sure there's an Osprey book in there somewhere!

Thanks for the info Oxiana. Come to think of it, I was watching a travel show where this Brit went to Iran, of all places. Upon finding out he was English, a couple of guys he was sharing a ride with mentioned Arsenal. He was stunned. The next batch I do I'll have to throw in another jersey if I can.
