28mm. Oh so pulpy. (You can picture these on the front cover of Strange Tales) Perfect for small numbered armies.
Here's some samples, (There are several others) have a look and decide for yourselves. ;)

I have the Brittania Land Tank with St. Pauls Cathedral on the top.....had the same idea as you....but the scale is wrong, need to get some of those big boys perhaps.

I like the German tankette. It looks like someone dropped an armored structure on top of a tracked agricultural tractor.

They are a bit expensive.

Stalk the world wide listings on EBay...if your very quiet,..one will appear eventually. Then you ambush it from your watched position. ;)

Nice picture, Prof!
I quite like the look of this one...........

hmm, are these not rather VSF?
anyway, I've seen only CG renders of these so far, do they really exist?

There's one on eBay at the moment but it's in Australia:
Ironclad (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dystopian-Legions-by-Spartan-Games-Ironclad-Federated-States-of-America-/301090478849?pt=AU_Miniatures&hash=item461a641b01)
I agree, they do look VSF but they give me ideas for making a more simplified 20's or 30's machine, something like this would be nice.........

Snappy closest you will get to that would be to convert a plastic kit or use/convert Ironclad Miniatures Steamtanks.

The small ones don't look like they are steam powered at all, more like some kind of internal combustion engine.
-
or pedals....
I agree, these could be interwar tankettes - and especially the japanese sphere tank

There's a guy here who has scratch-built a 1/18 Indiana Jones tank! Nearly 2 feet long! I couldn't even begin to start on something like that! :o
Scroll down the page a bit...............

A model of this tank already exists, Copplestones 'The Beast', not the cheapest, but a good mini.

I knew there was a reason why I started this post. Thanks to this link, I am now fighting a buying war on three fronts. This one, Bob Murch and EBay. I hope the conflict never ends. lol
