Title: unkept hedges (simple Bocage)

Just posted some pictures of the terrain i did last week. Some unkept hedges that could possible be used as simple Bocage as well:

Hinges on the gates are actually working. Need to do some more in coming months, but I used up far less foliage clumps than expected, so there is room for much more!

Looks nice, much better than my lazy "lichen moss in a row" way.
I guess instead of hot-glue you could use that acrylic stuff that people are using to glue sand on their terrain matts.

I agree; it looks very nice and also flexible in terms of what it can represent.

I wonder... Would a tube of clear bathroom silicone work? Obviously slower-curing/drying than hot glue, but also much cheaper. I would think that it would also have enough flex in it after curing to avoid bits of foliage dropping off too.

I a. Not sure it would work with acrylic. After all the biggest problem was the expanding of the foliage within the drying time of the white glue. Acrylic would not be that much better. And the last time I bought hot glue cartridges it was for less than ten Euros for 40 of them.

Thanks Eric, yeah i think it is the same problem. I think I used larger clumps (the 2nd largest variety from Woodland Scenics), which made the tension bigger, but in the end this also meant that i was able to glue down individual clumps with the hot glue, which is why i think it took me longer to finish than you.

BTW... your hedges were what inspired me to do mine. But I must have missed your WIP posts (that was a maniac time at work back then, so i had to learn from scratch!  o_o
