Title: W.W. I Photos in Color
Post by: Major Weenie on July 31, 2008, 12:58:54 AM
Now I don't really game W.W.I
But a grammar school chum, and that's a long time ago, because I'm now officially 'old,' emailed me this link to a site with French color photos from The Great War.

There is much discussion, below the photos, on whether the photos are 'real' or colorized.  There is also some discussion of the method of photography, which I've never heard of.
Regards,

Here's another page with WWI colour photos, plus more.  Many are the same pics but there are plenty of others.  You can also read a discussion about the technique, which I was unable to see at the above link.  (There's always somebody who refuses to admit that something is real, despite all evidence to the contrary, isn't there?  ::) )

In a related post, for those who missed it, colour photographs of Czarist Russia can be found here.
