Always wondered when I would get around to using these remnants from my Game's Workshop days. ;)
Wonder what Lara would think of them? lol
-
A fine use of some GW remnants :D
-
Verrrry nice! ...and the Cult guys look good as well! ;)
-
Well done, Prof! :D
-
That looks great!
I might have to steal that idea for my cultists [when i finally get around to painting the] as I have a huge collection of GW decals as well.

PURPLE is the perfect color for the Pulp Alley Cult. o_o o_o
We were just talking about what color to paint our cultists and now I know! Just follow the Dinglebat. lol lol lol

Purple does seem to be the right colour. Even Hergé agrees!

(It has nothing at all to do with the fact that my purple paint is used for very little else, so I have lots of it to lavish on robes... ::) )

OK... I agree. Purple is correct... But WHY??? ???

I'll have to agree with FF on this one. It's because we don't use purple on anything else.
Although... now that I think about it... MILA did paint another miniature PURPLE tonight... A-HA!!!

A long time back in time, one of my many talents (cough) got me into an Australian Movie called 'Melvin Son Of Alvin' It was the sequel to another famous cult movie called Alvin Purple. Melvin was Alvin's luv child and inherited the same traits as his father. In the movie there was a Melvin cult called 'The Purple People' and this is where I got my idea to paint them purple. The costume was different in that The Purple People just wore purple T-shirts, purple shorts and purple socks and topped it all of with a purple stripe running down their noses. It was fun to make whilst it lasted and at one stage you could watch the whole movie on utube, but alas now there's only the teaser. Did find a pic of the car we all drove around in though. ;)
The teaser~(Warning,..quick scenes of tongue in cheek 80's (That's year made not age of actors) nudity)

Nope, no cigar. I was first slotted to be one of the Purple People cult members, but ended up being the body guard of the other guy in the pic, (Melvin's manager) ;)

Ayup, it's from Pulp Figures. Part of the Delancy Street set Mila's working on for Pulp Alley bystanders.

Actually the purple people did have an elderly cleaning lady named 'Dulcie' in the house. (House pic below) This is an actual house in a suburban Aussie street that the film company bought and painted purple for the film, in which the purple people cult lived and held their ceremonies. ;)
