I while ago now I painted up some Otherworld Miniatures giant spiders and a bunch of dryders.
These in fact:

Well there was a second part to this particular commission (more models I have to wave goodbye to once painted) and that was a bunch of drow warriors and some characters to flesh out the warband. The rank and file are all Otherworld models and the characters are a mix of GF9 and Reaper.

I love the OW models and they paint up quite nicely. I wasn't so fussed with the GF9 resin pieces though. They've also painted up nice enough, it's just those models have a few issues with being cast in resin and not being the better for it. Wish I could get a shot of the whole warband together but the spiders and dryders went back to the client a while ago now.
There are more pics of the warriors on my blog (http://stonecoldlead.blogspot.co.uk/).

Whew! Your painting style is pretty much made for Drow!

That is one war band that would not want to run into, while in the under dark.

Beautiful!

I don't like too much the sculpt of the drows and the dryders miniatures, but the paint job is beautiful :-*

Fantastic painting, as always. I bet your client was well pleased. :)
Seeing your Driders has gotten me to finish assembling my own. Now if only I can find a way to paint them while keeping them out of sight of my arachnophobic wife. When you originally posted the pictures of those spiders I was both fascinated and creeped out. I've since looked at that thread many times, but only when the wife is out of the room.
