This is one trooper of Mad Robot of the Colonial Defense Force troopers.
The parts are made from resin and are 28mm heroically scaled.
(see http://madrobotminiatures.com/zencart/ (http://madrobotminiatures.com/zencart/))
I am deeply impressed by the quality of these small market resin minis, perfect fit, perfect casting!
Absolutely recommended if you want generic, tough as nails deep space Marines!
We live indeed in splendid times with many quality minis around.
I might use them in games like this...

Very nice Agis. The detail on him looks pretty sharp. Not a bad price for a squad of 10 either.
-
Great stuff 8)
I read the title as 'Colonial Defense Fort' and was a tad disappointed (terrain is my main thing :) ) but that's not to take away from the wonderful painting :)
cheers

Great painting as always. :)

Sweet paint on sweet minis!
-
Thanks Folks, the next 4 are on the table.
I will try some slightly different camo colours.

Ive been using thier heroic heads for awhile now, and they are REALLY nice....
Highly recomended company

Lovely painting, what were they like to deal with (as a company)?

Honestly - as good as it gets.
Good communication, prompt shipment (that the shipment was afterwards delayed in German customs was NOT their fault).

Good lookin' stuff. Also it looks like the guns are perfectly suited to clip the flash-hider/muzzle brake so that the rifles are even more accurate. Eventually...some day...I'll be doing a sci-fi skirmish game. These will have to be in it. Excellent paintwork as usual. Regarding the genestealers - did they ever make a box of plastic Hormagaunts? I always thought the old metal ones were very reasonable stand-ins for ALIENS.

These old fellas would be great - even more so if you swapped out some normal arms to replace the talons. I checked out the newer plastic hormagaunts and they don't look nearly as ALIENS-appropriate. Shame!

IIRC there are plastic Hormagaunts. 8)
Add some aftermarket (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=81_82 (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=81_82)) Xenomorphs heads and your fine.

IMO the heads is TOO big.
Or wait for Prodos Aliens...

Really lovely painting as always!

I'd definitely like the see the comparison when the Prodos stuff ships.

I am pretty sure that the Prodos Marines will be a head taller. So not really compatible...
And do not forget that the CDF minis are sculpted in the GW style - so "big heads, feet and HUGE guns".
-
Agis, thanks for doing such a great job! Your brushwork lifts them to a new level :)
-
Did you have to do any trimming or green stuffing to get the head to sit properly? With a neck guard on both the torso and the helmet, I'm finding they interfere with each other and make the head sit awkwardly.

None at all!
The whole mini has a near perfect fit.
I pinned the whole mini with wire and used 2 part epoxy glue, any filling was done by the glue.

Might have to get some of them
Cheers

Nice painting!

2 more painted! ;)

For the Gunner and Squad Leader I chose a slightly different camo colour palette. The green was the base colour this time. As usual, the more you paint minis the more you see flaws are strengths. With these minis - only positive observations, I just love the metal prosthetic left arm.
And a group shot with a Heresy "Hurn":

Brilliant pj's! 8) 8)
Would you not rather have German decals on them as opposed to The Stars and Stripes?

Thanks, I chose US flags because they were featured in the A2 movie IIRC. 8)
