That looks good though when I played, albeit a smaller gamer, it reminded me of gaming the Zulu War.  Will the Humans (Brits) take down the Martians (Zulus) from a distance before they can close into knife fighting (Assegai) range.  With the added complication that the Martians have ranged weapons too.

They still haven't released the Dominator Tripod yet which has 2x Heavy Heat Rays (range 30") and a Guided Missile Pod (range 20").

Not to mention the big Mama of them all... the Overseer Tripod which has 3x Heavy Heat Rays and the Sun Gun (range 60").

 :o

I played in the Friday game. Lots of fun! The rules are simple but with a lot of variety. Figs are really nice. I would have bought the Starter Set but with my gaming group, it would only be played once.  :'(

I knew the land cruiser was big - but to me it looks too big when compared to the normal tanks - I know size matters but ............. :o

The British one carries two scout cars (one on each side).

Yep, they are really big, but it had no competition... the 12" tall Overseer tripod with the Sun Gun which can fire 60".

BTW... seems the chap who does Paper Terrain, Scott is his name I believe, intends to do some paper terrain of the walls you see in the photos. He has already done a couple farm houses, city buildings, school and a church... all done in 1910 US style to support the game.

It was a good looking game and there were a number of other good games around but overall the game count was down by 99 games this year (357) against 2013 number of 456.
