Title: James Garner has passed away.
Post by: FramFramson on 20 July 2014, 08:08:16 PM
Sorry to all fans of one of the two best North American 70's detective shows (the other being Columbo). Sorry also to western fans of his earlier show, Maverick.

Detective shows were huge in the 70's, on both sides of the pond. It took something really special to make it to the top of that heap and James had that something.

Sad to hear that. Will for ever be Jim Rockford for me as well.
