Title: Paul Hicks fall
Post by: Remington on July 21, 2014, 09:26:44 AM
Hello everyone. Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere but according to Paul Hick's Twitter he had a fall on Saturday earlier which seems to have resulted in a hand fracture. A doctor is having a look today.

Let's all wish him a speedy recovery!

I vaguely remember a gaming sculptor commenting on breaking two bones in his hand.  Same person?

Gracias.

Thanks guys! I should be ok, pen grip is ok which was the main thing. Just waiting in surgical assessment to find out what the next step will be. Thank you once again for your thoughts but as we know Michael Perry has come back from a far worse injury so I have nothing to moan about:)

Just gutted I can't sculpt as I have so many ideas!

Yeah ... as long as you can grip your ... pen, that's the main thing.

Make notes with a voice recording device, that way you can always go back to them  :D

On the mend thanks. I need two metal plates in my hand which we hope will be done this week. Luckily rehab for hand fractures is plenty of movement so I should be back working very soon indeed.

I like the way when you get to a certain age you stop 'falling' and begin to 'have a fall'.

Hope your recovery is quick and relatively easy.  I'm sure it will be frustrating, but I hope it isn't too irksome.

To axabrax. Hands are insured! Wouldn't play Rugby without it:). Had 9 screws and a plate put in on Thursday out of the cast and in a splint on Monday. Very limited movement at the moment but after the metal work I'm not surprised. At the latest it will be a course of months till I'm back sculpting at full steam. I have sculpted 6 pairs of boots at least:)
