Part of the Mongoose Rogue Trooper Kickstarter.

Great paint Duff as ever awful minis though in the metal. :?
-
Didn't notice a biochip on the lazooka though that's a bit strange as its a Souther not GI issue weapon. ???
-
Great paintwork. I'm not a fan of the minis - are they for a specific IP I'm not aware of?
-
Mine arrived a week or so ago, they're still in the envelope. Of all the typical Rogue Trooper poses to choose from years of comic books and they've gone with 'meh'. Look at some of the wonderful new sculpts Crooked Dice are doing, look at these, then try not to think 'missed opportunity'. Just my opinion though.
-
Okay, 'lazooka'? Is the intent of that name to be a 'Laser Bazooka' like weapon?
Is that supposed to a bit of humor?
Gracias,
Glenn

Presumably it is/was a portmanteau type name, but honestly that was the name in the comics.
-
Very nice paint work, and probably better than those sculpts deserve IMHO. :)

No a bit of nostalgia Glen for dat is what dat is. :D

I like em, wouldn't mind painting some, are they kick starter only?

For now. Wanna paint mine? :D

Cost ya! :)

They're from the "Rogue Trooper" comic book series, which is in the "2000 AD" family of IPs (i.e. they're from the Judge Dredd universe).
-
Not finding them on the Mongoose miniatures webs site - OOP?
Gracias,
Glenn
-
Not yet released.
From their latest KS (I think).

Ah, thanks.
More idle curiosity than actual interest. I find the abbreviated uniform "tropical in the field too long' in some ways yet the rest of the equipment is not typical miniatures "freshly issued" looking in some ways.
Gracias,
Glenn

I can see them as a type of Askari troops.

These look fantastic. Not only is it a great paint job, but I'm actually interested in the sculpts. Is it just me, or do the Norts look a lot better then the G.I.s?
-
Fine sight them Norts! :o
-
Stak! A fine body of men from the Motherland. Great work on the Norts and the GIs.
-
Brilliant stuff Duff! :o :o :o :o
-
Great paint job. So smooth and nice.
I went to the store but they were not there.. >:(
-
Should be released shortly.

-
Oh my , incredible good job! :o ;D :-*
-
At first, I was fascinated by the metal tone chosen for the suits - I always pictured the Southers and Northers to be wearing some chemical-repelling synthetics, not metal. Great work, and a rather convincing, though not overwrought, non-metal-metal. :) Very comic-book-style, and very much to my liking.
Then, I decided I'll have to re-evaluate my Souther painting scheme after this (although I'll probably go for a green metallic).
Then I noticed those faces. :o Outstanding.
-
HOLY FECK! They are outstanding! :-*
-
Brilliant painting! I love Rogue Trooper and you've done an awesome job of bringing it to life in miniature!
-
Hmmm...
Do NOT try to become the “Critic Laureate” of LAF – it’s “live and let live.”
Nice painting!
-
Please, stop fighting, folks. And let us reserve the measured expletives for stuff that truly deserves it.
-
The painting on these minis is truly stunning! I love the Norts, they seem to be superior sculpts to the other two although none are all that bad IMHO! Really outstanding work, keep it up!
Thanks
Blofeld
-
Excellent paintwork as usual. :D
-
The Norts are beautiful. The Southers aren't bad either - and the way their faceplates have been painted is nothing short of actual art!
-
You painted the faces!! :o
Amazing! Great!
-
try some of the bronzeage ones they are nice.
