Hi All
Today marks the start of our Great War week at Breakthrough Assault and we start off with a look at the new British Army deal.
Winner Dave's unboxing looks at all the models in detail. (http://www.breakthroughassault.co.uk/2014/07/the-great-war-tommies-part-i-unboxing.html)
Hope you all enjoy it.

Nice one Ben and Dave...looks like our club might have a few takers on this deal.Hoping it will go so well for BF that they'll expand to the Middle East..but won't hold my breath

I think it will be years before you see the Middle East done. My thoughts would be that we'll see French and US next maybe Russians. If not the Russians will be in the 3rd wave with Austria-Hungary.
Hope your club enjoys the game

Thanks for the review. They look like nice figures... better than I expected to tell the truth... 8)

Excellent review and a nice blog (I've just started following and added you to my list of blogs). I notice tha lack of rifle grenadiers in the set though. It's a real oversite on every WW1 manufacturer that I've seen. However, PP have just released a set of them.

Thanks Abwerhschlacht and their our some Rifle Grenade models, they have very small Grenades on the end of some of the rifles (I think Dave missed them on his review)
The German ones were far more obvious.

Thanks again for sharing. Very characterful models, especially given their small size (15mm)

Weird question: how do the figures 'scale up'? Are they at the 'peter pig's small or 'blue moon' big?

I will hopefully pick up my 2000pts Germens and British army next weekend and try and finish them off quickly before the new price rises :(
