Okay, I've tried to get going on this a couple times and, in spite of the presence of Lena Headley, just can't seem to stay with it long.
Could someone tell me if there's anything scenario/plot/weapon/whatever sufficiently inspiring to slog though it? I'll take 'really, after the theft of the meatpie, it does become worth watching. No, really.'
And, please note, I realize it's a juvenile. I'm not all that mature myself. Really.
Thanks!

Not really I didn't find it very impressive there a jewel thing that confers ultimate power and all that. There are some mechanical tentacles attached to the lost children near the end but I wouldn't say they are a must see.

Bummer; had hopes the blurb's 'steam-driven city on a hidden island' might be more.
Still, never kill the messenger.
Thanks for the warning! May still watch, but with appropriate level of expectations.

There are moments but i found myself cleaning up miniatures more than actually watching the movie.

While you've not attained my advanced age, still, I'll point out the movie seemed to be marketed either as adolescent or 'young adults'.

Yes but its more of a talk down to kids than a "Narnia" or "Return to Oz" but you have the option to watch it yourself and if you are this interested you probably should.

Wasn't arguing the point; when I was little, and a seriously naive lad at that, I can still recall being offended by movies SO patronizing me. Only, I didn't have the word, just the outrage. ;)
Thanks again.

Not argument taken Doug I simply meant sometimes we(us whatever) get a bee in out bonnet about something and only seeing for ourselves will quiet it.
