Title: Lord Curr's Company
Post by: Uchiha_Learsi on 07 August 2014, 05:53:35 PM
Hello everyone!! My friend Licantropo told me to post pictures of my Lord Curr's Company's miniatures, so I go for it!! I tried to paint them like the ones Kevin Dallimore paint, bridging gaps!!

So I hope you like it, and criticize them so I can improve my painting skills!!

Thank you very much and a big hugh!!

Very nice!

My figures certainly would not stand such close scrutiny.

Excellent paint job sir, I have seen IN live and are even much better. A great friend of mine in the last game did not let me live even one guy in my band Tong  :'(, next time I will be harder !!! Playing wargame with you is a pleasure, rather than funny !!!

With the Tong you need to use cover. Also get your Dragon Lady to take the power Water Bullets.

They look great - Lord Curr's trousers are brilliant.

He gets them from Hoskin's Outfitters in Great Bull Court off The Strand at two guineas a pair. A bit steep but so worth it. One must cut a dash if one is felling the Queen's enemies in broad daylight.

So many of these miniatures I like. And so many I don't.
My, how I loathe the whole 'boxed set' approach...

They look great as a group though. Well done  :)

I understand what you mean Captain. Northstar though did insist that if they did a boxed set there should be enough miniatures in it for a useful force, unlike some we could mention. Nick and I don't like companies who sell a 'starter' set that does not have the figures you need to actually start :)

Pet peeve of mine is 'boxed sets' and a true evaluation of the work.

Gracias,

On the other hand, boxed sets are MADE for those of us with no imagination.  :D

As for the paint job, others are impressed; I'm stunned!

Of course, as I don't paint, a paintjob is either brilliant or not worth the effort of touching; no middle ground, I fear.  lol

Too right about the Tong, but my one bout with that gang was in an extremely crowed Casbah-type local, and by the time I got to the open town square, the lads with rifles were focused on picking off the local constabulary, with whom my Dragon Lady 'had an understanding...'

A) Alleyways and blind turns are your friends. B) Having real friends with virtual bull's eyes on their chest is another plus.

The local military governor appreciated the more-than-clean-sheets that came in the daily laundry. (Purely inspired table talk during the game, mind you.)
