Thursday evening games night brought us to "the wrong side of the tracks", our first FfoL shoot out down near the border.
A quick set up with 6 figures a side - the desperate Mexican bandits and the dastardly Pinkertons. The railroad split the board lengthways and the two groups could start anywhere on the long sides.

The Pinkertons advance ...

And the Mexican edge forward ...

The menacing "lawmen" take up their positions and try and flush out the Mexicans ....

Caught in the open Angel and Miguel start eating dirt and lead ...

And Chico doesn't fare much better; pinned and searching for cover ....

And the end is in sight, both for Miguel and the rest of them desperate Mexicans.
Really enjoyed the fast pace of the game, especially knowing you could really do with a king or an ace in your hand and only ending up with a pair of fives and a three! Couple of rule checks but nothing we couldn't come to an amicable agreement on.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Aargh! Don't tempt me with such nicety!
Everything is 'Hell on Whells' here right now and your setup inspires me to go forward and build something! :-X

Yeap, most of them are good old Snapdragon, with a couple of my own scratcbuilds. Pity Snapdragon isn't in production. Have to admit, the buildings do need some signage.

We'll have to get a game or two in soon. The Artizan figures are good to paint, just wish they produced some mounted ones to go with the cowboys, etc. although I have got some of their mounted cavalry to finish.

Yes! Love the train too.
Nice job on the figures. I totally agree about the lack of mounted Artizan cowboys.

Great stuff! Love the buildings and railway stuff!

Really great AAR.
Careful, your whole project could go off the track with your added railroad stuff. lol
OK, I will say no more. lol

Thanks all,
I always like to have a bit of railroad in my westerns.

I think I went off the tracks a long time ago lol
Especially when they worked in my favour! ;)
I ain't saying anything about the cards, but the deck seemed to have a lot of picture cards on the Pinkertons side of the table ... ? ;D

I love it!!! :-*

Looks great. Glad you had fun. The new rules have a train scenario that has proven to be brutal, fast and fun.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the kind comments. The track we use is from Peco - their 0-16.5 (HO gauge) stuff

But this may be more accessible in the States
