Title: A big ol' Western "Howdy " from the Tejano Hill Country
Post by: Volstagg Vanyr on August 10, 2014, 01:26:19 PM
Long time lurker, 1st time poster.
I've been 'round and about on other forums over the years (so some folks may recognize me)
but I'm looking forward to reading through the collective wisdom gathered here in more detail.

I've been off of Painting for about two years due to badly prescribed bifocals,
but have finally decided that 'enough is enough' and I'm set to get a new pair of Specs
(and so i hope to return to brushwork fairly soon....

...Either that, or its time to start seriously culling my collection!)

Welcome to LAF Volstagg Vanyr.

Lots of inspiration here.

Blasphemy!...

...Or, in a second thought, just read my signature.  ;)

May you have along and merry stay with us.

Glad to see you on board! Don't worry. I will not admit that I recognize you from elsewhere. In my best Sgt Schulz: "I know nothing, nothing!" Now give me some strudel!  lol

There are certain forums I no longer frequent, but LAF is one of those I have always loved even though I have lurked here for many years.

So that's what happened to you! I hear you about the bifocals. Mine mess up my reading, not my painting. I always wear one of those Optivisor things when painting, even when working on 28mm. You might want to look into them. They just make my hobby time more enjoyable. But I hate reading with bifocals and their fixed viewing distances and stuff. Mine changed again this year so am getting a new pair next month as well. Glad to hear your getting a new pair!
