I've seen a few realy nice Hydes out there, but does anyone make one like the guy in the beginning of Van Helsing?
Also, has anyone seen a big burly female that could be used as a "Lady Hyde" lol

Maybe one of the Heroclix Hulks with a repaint?
-
Westwind make a nice Mr Hyde in their Gothic Horror range. :) Most of the other ones I Have seen are not as big as you are looking for.

Ive been thinking of sculpting that for a while. Might start that one tonight. Keep hassling me though as I have a lot on and if I am doing it to show someone else then it will give me a bit impetus to finish the job.

Chairface....
I AM an English gentleman sir, therefore I have not finished my morning Tea. Still have 30 cups to go!
Then I shall start on the infernal beast.
Incidently
What pose do people want? standing ....bestial?
Clothing scraps ala League of extraordinary Gentlemen?
Smoking?
Ideas while I work please?

Standing in a slighlty crouched forward pose as if about to grab a victim, with clothing scraps, his bowler hat at a jaunty angle smoking a big cigar please. :D

AAaahhh a muse.
...and in time for tea.

I'd rather see him standing, so he is taller and more menacing, but hey you are sculpting him... :)

Ok well mybe I was on the wrong track in my head.
Size wise the fellow Ive started ( just in armature) is BIG.
His knee ( bearing in mind he is crouched) is 2 cm off the ground, or up to the hips of a old night horrors mummy I have on my workbench.
AM I going smaller then as well as standing?>
Bearing in mind, I know the story says Hyde is small, the fellow is colossal in Van helsing, and League..
-
I think he should be huge as in the League (either the Graphic novel or film version) and in Van Helsing he was even bigger, perhaps too large for my taste.
I use the Westwind Hyde figure as part of my LXG. He is probably not big enough:

This guy is a nice size too, but could be taller:

Ok well, lets crack on then.
How about a picture of what people think. A picture of hyde, or a giant humanoid for that matter, standing next to a normal human will be ideal and ill go from there. Dont worry about mass or detail just height will be great.
The model I started is moving towards a literal giant and needs to be smaller. If you have a fav pic of hyde or a pose you want considering then please put them up too.
Im sitting here waiting and the materials are in front of me, so soon as some good ones arrive , then the sooner the work starts.
Thanks for all ideas

Black Hat has him - he's called Tonka (I have him, too... he's been sitting half-painted on my desk for about a year... I wanted him ti be an oriental arch-villain henchman, but i cannot get the skin right :-[ )

I like Paroom Station's Hyde and Jeykle the best. In the novel he is not The Hulk we see in current movies.
-
As I already mentioned. In fact he is supposed to be smaller in height than Jeckyl. He is however far stockier and ....well malevolent would be the word.
However we are talking of a nice hulk type, which incidently I started, as promised.
I used concept sketches from Van Helsings art dept to guage scale and currently have him in fron of me. His body mass is done so muscles are ready to be started. Head is in place and legs are being aded to.
He is monstrous, but Im not sure this pose is going to work for a Hyde, I nearly started doing Frankenstein monster style shapes at one point. IT really doesnt convey the speed and agility he tends to have in VH and LXG.
I will post a picture as soon as I find the charger for the infernal photgraphic device. Then you lot can decide whether I make him into Hyde on Dr F's baby boy.
Will post soon. Now where in the name of Absinthe is my Tea....
