Title: A Maltese Falcon figure?
Post by: Operator5 on December 04, 2006, 10:13:32 PM
I know there was/is a RAFM or Grenadier figure that Bob Murch sculpted of a Fat man holding a Maltese Falcon, but does anyone know if there is a figure of just a falcon suitable for 28mm?

Don't know of any Falcon figures, but you might be able to cut one off of a medieval or fantasy figure.  Would probably have to look through a lot of fantasy or medieval figures to find a falcon perched on a hand.  Might be quicker just to sculp one out of greenstuff.

If you would consider giving a comic twist to the scenario, you might substitute a parrot from a pirate line (such as the skeletal one at Moonlight Minis), a buzzard from a line of western figures, or a flamingo.

I think I remember a Metal Magic falconeer from my Game Store managing days, but I'm not sure....

I'll look through my many cardbord-boxes and colomodes, and if I find it, I may be willing to let it go (it'll have been lying unused for a deacade by now).

If I do not get back on this, drop me a line, I'll probably just have forgotten (so many things to remember - really need one om them new 128 bit brain interfaces for computers   )

The Felix the Falconer mini from Blacktree Fantasy range is holding a falcon. But perhaps you are asking about a statue of a falcon like in Houston´s film?

This statue?  :)

GW do a plastic falcon on their BRETONNIAN KNIGHTS SPRUE (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk?do=Individual&code=99380203005&orignav=13), but it'll cost you £8!!! :D

:) Those familiars look very interesting.  Thanks for pointing them out, Grimm!  I could imagine a Pulp scenario where people are trying to figure out which animal statue, not just the falcon, is actually the valuable one...
