The Manville Gas Gun.
I'd read about this weapon (tool?) before, but I was so taken by the novelty of the fact that it needs to be wound up, that when I watched this video that I thought that I'd post it up on here.
If I was knocking around in the 1880s, a wind-up revolver shotgun would be exactly the sort of thing I'd want for charging headlong into the enemy, should I be the sort of person who makes a habit of doing such things.

Sounded like a 'Streetsweeper', which was designed for shotgun shells.
Didn't realize it started in Africa, then came to the states in a cheapened version.
