Having a game in the US or with American characters and looking for a soundtrack? Fan of ragtime or orginal blues? You should absolutely check out Ragtime Dorian Henry, possibly the most impressive music collection on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPXlJQH2Rx5QG4aF8w52HlQ
He has a particular focus on ragtime but has a VERY healthy blues collection (with a particular focus on Piedmont blues). No European artists, but the channel is huge enough as it is and is excellently curated.

:D :D :D
It is so interesting that you found this youtube channel...Ragtime Dorian posts an incredible assortment of music for our enjoyment...he also produces a series of instructional videos and lessons for guitar players to learn some of this wonderful music. I have many of his lessons and he has greatly expanded my repertoire of music. I'm a huge fan of the ragtime and Piedmont blues guitar...in fact that is where my handle comes from...I have the Blues in Vermont. ;D
Here is a link to one of my videos if you are interested: http://youtu.be/BXJh0VxWq9U?list=UU7zqZf6BS6LdmCB_P01DljQ
Cheers,

Nice work!
I found the channel a while ago, but I was on it again today and thought "Why am I not sharing this?". Piedmont blues is great stuff, and how I found the channel (kept tripping over it while bringing up blues songs on YouTube). I mean to look at his ragtime stuff, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
It's a massive collection. Half a lifetime's worth of listening already and he uploads about a song a day.

May I add this one?

If you are a bit more of a hep-cat there's http://www.1940sukradio.co.uk/ 8)
Despite the title, it plays anything between the '20s & '40s. It's UK based, where sitting in a damp Anderson Shelter listening to Harry James and his orchestra has never gone out of fashion.
I thank you... ;)

6milPhil beat me to posting the link to Radio Dismuke, which is my go-to source for streaming pulp-era music.
The YouTube channel is a great alternative, though. Nice find!

Nice to have a source for some European stuff too, Arlequín. :)
