Post by: Fuzzywuzzieswiflasers on 25 August 2014, 01:03:26 PM
Hello all,

This month our club , Nunawading Wargames Association had its annual Open day.
We had a great selection of games on show including several WWII, Napoleonics, Seven Years War, ACW, Judge Dredd, 40K and others.

I have been putting a heap of pictures on my blog for everyone to check out.

Here's a teaser to whet the appetite  ;)

Looks like a great time.  Were these mostly demonstration games or was the public able to participate?

Mostly demonstration games but people could join in if they wanted to. Certainly Judge Dredd and Secrets of the Third Reich were participation and ran several games throughout the day. It's always hard to get the punters to keep still for 30mins to have a play.

I sometimes think if the game looks too big and grandiose people are actually more reluctant to play "on the big stage" as it were  :)

The smaller games like Dredd and SOTR while still looking good are less intimidating for newbies.

Cheers
