I would like to share this shamelessly self promotional little film, rather silly really, with you fine folks. It is themed around my obsession with military history as an artist and features a couple of shots of my Civil War armies and table set-up. And yes, they even move! So, without any further ado:

-
Made me smile after a hard day at the office. :) well done
-
Lovely! thank you so much!
-
Love the stop motion - now that's a future idea for an AAR! A war-game captured as a movie. Like the way you have made the shell explosions - what did you use?
-
Nice work!
Gracias,
Glenn

Bravo.

Many thanks, fellow miniature enthusiasts! I am glad you get a kick out of it. As for the shell explosions: that is clump-foliage super glued to wire and then painted black, followed by layers of grey drybrushing. Indeed, those are Perry plastics getting blown through the air, I found them to be the perfect base for conversions; The figure in the closeup being “painted” is a Perry Zouave torso combined with Perry Confederate legs and a Havelock made from greenstuff. Its a project I am working on occasionally, the 69th NY infantry at Bull Run.

This is the figure I crafted a few weeks ago. I made another one which I think improves on the concept.

Again, many thanks for all the kind comments, chaps!
The music are different tunes played by Paul Whiteman and his orchestra, the piece accompanying the stop motion sequence is “Grand Fantasia.”
