Does anybody know where to get some miniature Wanted Posters, newspapers, ads, etc. for use in an Old West setting? I already have some posters and signs from several sources but each has its own drawbacks. The Whitewash City posters are probably the best I have. They're clean and legible (big point!) but lack 'oomph'. There's only 17 of them, though. (The signs are excellent.) Gary Chalk's set is nice but they're too fuzzy when printed. The Buffalo Chip set of signs from TVAG is comprehensive but, again, some of the posters lack legibility, the typeface being quite heavy. On the other hand, the larger signs are very nice. (Even comes with a topless lady painting to decorate your saloon or bordello! ;) )
Any suggestions, compadres?

I got a book full of them from the Skirmish Wargames Group (Mike Blake etc).
More posters and signs than I could paper a town with.
I know Mike occasionally posts on the Yahoo Colonial wargamers group, but I don't have his current email address.

Here's a link to a gaming club's web site.
They have a Flag page, at the bottom of which are a limited number of signs.

Isn't premature senility wonderful? ::)

Didn't Foundry offer up a PDF of these at one time?

On a side note, most wanted posters were small - handbill size and comparable to a standard letter size piece of paper. The larger ones were the size of circus posters and usually headlined with REWARD as few cared if someone was wanted but many cared about the cash.
Also many posters didn't have pictures of the criminal but rather pictures or descriptions of the stolen items, especially for horses .

i did a google search and shrunk it in paint. a good few poster.s and they were much more authentic than any i made from the foundry. also you could get carnival banners etc. newspapers are easy. but the thing to remember is to ink them a browny color to get the old look.

I knew I had some somewhere!
I've just found a good few in a Word document that I downloaded - I think from the Waregames Foundry site - a long time ago.
PM me with an e-mail address if you want them.

Dude, make you own. You can put yourself in! In the end, if you make them in paint if you need to...

If I remember rightly, those were done by Gary Chalk and are the same ones from his 'Fistful of Balsa' article, which I have. Just in case, though, I'll PM you. At the moment, though, it's all academic. My printer has told me I can't print anything anymore without damaging it and has locked me out. So, now, I need a new scanner and a printer! It's bad enough that the minis force you to buy them. Now, even the electronics are trying to spend my money for me! Sheesh!

the foundry ones are back on there site ,they are now selling the rules with no name and if you go to the free downloads section for the rules there is a file entitled buildings the wanted posters and signs are on that.

I'm after a few good West posters too, so if anyone can point out any more that'd be wonderful!
